This morning I woke up, rolled over, looked out the window and this is what I saw.
The snow started yesterday and it was a slushy mess. We got hammered overnight and so today I am experiencing my first ever real deal awesome Snow Day.
Bill and I had originally planned to head up to Albany this weekend to get out of this box filled boxy apartment but they have had some large snowfall there as well and driving conditions are woeful, so that was scratched. Our plan instead is to pack absolutely everything that we can while we are stuck inside here and then just live out of suitcases for the next week and a half. We will head up to Albany next weekend and then come back and get ready for the move during the following week.
We have our usual Fresh Direct delivery ordered for tonight but in the meantime we are very low on normal food staples as we are trying to empty our shelves for the move. So I have made a stack of Salmon patties for dinner and am trying to be as imaginative as possible seeing as pasta isn’t an option and obviously today, meat is out! 🙂
As I type, the snow is coming down even heavier and the wind is blowing a storm. This is the perfect way to experience it – looking out the window, still in my long LL Bean flannel nightie, fluffy socks and 24 hour news running. I think this is what is called actual Jenelle Heaven.
