On Saturday I had to go back to Chelsea to get my hair cut and colored. After a couple of searches when I moved here, I lucked out in finding a fantastic hairdresser and he is worth travelling for!
Afterwards, I stumbled across a street fair on 26th Street and was able to take a photo to introduce my many Australian readers to the delicacy that is… deep fried oreos.
Deep fried in batter, oreos turn into little velvety pockets of chocolate that when dusted with icing sugar… well they just melt in your mouth! They aren’t as rich as deep fried mars bars and other such sweets so they are very easy to eat!
If you are in Manhattan and want some, the best place to get them is at Rub BBQ. Which used to be just at the back of our old apartment. So very dangerous!
