Last night was spent waking up every half an hour because of the stifling humidity and I happened to check my phone and saw an alert from TMZ that there is a possibility that Stacy Peterson’s body may have been located. I must say, it was strange to see TMZ reporting such stories but it has since been picked up by other media outlets and is being reported on Chicago television.
I recently posted about how I followed the Natalee Holloway case… well the other case I have followed like crazy was the Stacy Peterson one. It is a complicated, sordid tale that unfortunately became like a soap opera. Seeing a case like this unfold was fascinating and yet so sad . You can read more about it here and here is the America’s Most Wanted page on Stacy. The continual investigation from the On The Record program was commendable. They were able to ascertain that the murder of Kathleen Savio (Drew Peterson’s third wife) was NOT an accident. It was bizarre to say the least.
Now, with a possible break in the case I hope the family get some answers.
As an update on the Natalee Holloway case, it was fantastic to watch On the Record (have not watched it for a LONG time since the format changed) and see that they have bought the legal panel back for discussion on the case. You can view the segment here. Mark Furhman, Jim Hammer, Ted Williams and my favorite criminal defense attorney, Bernie Grimm are a fantastic legal panel and they have been greatly missed since the change in show format. Watching them actually reminded me of the times I’d be up late, finishing assignments for my Masters and I’d put on the episode of On the Record that I had recorded during the day. I am just hoping that today, there may finally be some closure in this very tragic case.
