Lake Placid Public Library

Posted on November 22, 2010November 22, 2010 by Jenelle

Of course, when you are on a honeymoon you just have to visit libraries right? Right!

We had a lovely little adventure at the Lake Placid Public Library today. It is located on the main street of Lake Placid and is a gorgeous library that fits perfectly into the surrounds of the town. The catalog was playing up while I was there and I showed great restraint by not jumping the desk to try and help out! The library was wonderfully maintained and clean – it was a pleasure to visit.

As an aside, Melvil Dewey had a long history with Lake Placid… so much so our hotel has a picture of him in the lobby!

Here is the front of the library –
