We are getting back to the wedding content as there is so much to post…!
As we had no dancing at the reception, we opted to borrow Best Man Dan’s Bose iPod Dock and create our own playlist. This part was so much fun, but also so time consuming. You just hope that your guests will like it and it will suit the mood. In the end, ours did and it was a nice little mix of toe tappers. We now always have a memory of the wedding when we play our playlist of our favourite songs.

In between the main course and dessert we had our first dance. There was no John Farnham! For our song, we chose this –

The story behind this song… Bill and I were on the Megabus to Albany one Friday night and we were sharing headphones. This song came on and he loved it as much as I already did. The poem, the actual story behind it, the tune itself – it all suited the feel of the reception. Obviously, it is not the most traditional or expected wedding song, but it suited us both perfectly, everyone had a laugh and there was even a bit of a singalong.
