We have had the most beautiful weekend!
We did all our chores during the week last week so yesterday I was able to stay in jammies on Saturday and only had to do some laundry while Bill whipped up the most yummy batch of ribs for dinner. It was terrifically lazy and I basically didn’t get off the couch… we watched the wedding (again!) and I spent all day reading articles on the wedding and soaking everything in.
We made up for it today (Sunday) by getting up super early and getting to 8.30 Mass and we then walked in the morning sunshine all the way to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden to visit the Cherry Blossom Festival. It was glorious… even though there was an excess of annoying people. Here are some photos – it was just breathtaking to see so much pink!

We then went in to downtown Brooklyn for lunch and then I travelled back in to Manhattan for my hairdressers appointment. By 4pm I was home and in my jammies and we are watching the Pies Vs Bulldogs game that was on ESPN 2 in HD and LIVE last night. Could there be a better day? I think not!
