It has been a crazy couple of days – this is a fast forwarded blog update just because I will get back on track with the blogging soon. I have registered with a temp agency, passed their test and will hopefully get some work coming through soon. This will suit my situation at the moment as it means I can still get sightseeing done and find my feet here a bit as I still find myself a bit awestruck when I leave the apartment each morning! It still feels like I am visiting, on my usual holiday.
Also, my dear, wonderful friend Kat has dropped in as my first houseguest and it has been wonderful catching up on years of goss/news and adventures. 🙂
Now word also tells me the Pies are HOT. If that is the case, and we make the Grand Final, I will be back in Melbourne for the game. Depending on how we go this week, I may book a ticket so I have it there, ready to go.
Thus, another reason why temporary work is more suited at the moment. 😉
I will do a whole post on customer service here later on but one word… AMAZING. Absolutely amazing. I’m not talking about restaurants and touristy customer service – I am talking about the everyday mundane customer service – banking, bills, telephone companies. It has been the biggest shock to the system to be actually treated like a person rather than a number. It is stellar. And has made life VERY easy.
Also – my Library Card arrived so now, I am set.
