I have a penchant for advertising jingles and catchy ads in general. While HD TV is great and all, there is something purely nostalgic about an ad with a good jingle and VHS tracking lines along the bottom.
I want to regularly start posting some of my favorites. These jingles and ads really did work. Why? Because twenty years on I (and I’m sure many of you) still know the words.
Note – anything I post is pretty much Australia-centric seeing as that is where I grew up.
Snack Pack
This ad would screen basically on repeat after school. I never ate Snack Packs but those BMX bikes, fluro colors and catchy lyrics made this one stick. Listening to it, I guess this was almost like a rap song. Probably the first of its kind I had ever heard!
