The MTA offer email alerts where you get a weekly email about any known disruptions to your train line and any service announcements. These are delivered every week, without fail, whether there are disruptions or not. Just to keep you informed
Then when I received this I immediately thought – what an amazing thing to prepare when bad weather is predicted!! Wow! Imagine if, in Melbourne, we actually had to really deal with severe weather. I think we can safely assume that we would have no train system at least.
