Shellac Update

Posted on March 17, 2012 by Jenelle

I have still been getting my fortnightly gel manicure. I love it so much!

My salon offer Shellac and Gelish. Gelish has about 60 colors, whereas they stock only about 10 Shellac hues. As I previously posted, Gelish was not good to me. My nails hardly grew, it chipped after 4-5 days and it was to ‘blobby’ on my nails. The Shellac just seems like nail food to my nails and they last always at least 10 days. I am loyal to Shellac – I hope they never get rid of it.

My nails have been fantastic – they now grow like they have never grown before. Recently I cut one of my thumbs badly while cooking and then from there, all my nails seemed to break. I gave my nails a rest for a week, went crazy with my Dead Sea cuticle oil and I felt they were ready today for another mani.

I also decided to get a gel pedi to try it out. Yes, it is possible!

So, first of all, I thought you may like to see some of my manis. I tend to go for the not-very-exciting colors just because I tend to get sick of the dark colors after a week. While they are shorter, I tend to prefer the lighter colors as I think they look pretty and clean.
