So Collingwood’s season is over. The scarf is now away until season 2009.
I woke up at 5.30am for the game this morning. I didn’t get to sleep until 2am – partly due to excitement and then partly due to the guys downstairs having a party that I think involved a Nintendo WII judging by their cheering (either that or they were watching a copy of the 1990 Grand Final and were trying to stay awake…)
I gave up at the end of the 3rd when I got an SMS from Sandra, who was at the game, and told me she was going home. I rolled over and went back to sleep and didn’t wake up until midday.
For a brunch I made myself feel better by cooking a decent brekky after finding real, normal bacon at my Local Stop n’ Shop. This is referred to as Irish Bacon.
So instead of a meat pie, I ate my big brekky and realised that that is the end of the previous six weeks of waking up at ungodly hours each weekend and now the stress can be someone else’s. My bet – a Hawthorn Vs Geelong Grand Final. With Geelong to win – just because we can say that we ruined their chance at being undefeated. 😉
Go Pies!
