A380 Awe

Posted on September 27, 2008September 27, 2008 by Jenelle

While it would have been great to be at the MCG yesterday watching Collingwood play and win a Grand Final, another reason was the special flyover by the new Qantas A380.

Thanks to Flickr, I have been able to see the plane photos with some really good shots taken by Oliver Gigacz of the plane on the way to the MCG and then on its way back to Tullamarine.

Edit – and here is You Tube footage of it flying near the Arts Centre spire and over the G –

The excitement of this plane is on a par with when I remember standing at Regent station for the 8.05 one morning and around the bend from Reservoir station one of the brand new X’Trapolis 100 trains appeared.

I hope my excitement about the A380 isn’t as short lived. 😉
