Before the weekend, only knowledge of Eggnog is a line from the movie Better off Dead when Charles De Mar is talking to Lane Meyer in the grocery store –
“It’s Christmas Eve! I could be home right now, drinking this monster eggnog my brother makes with lighter fluid!”
On the weekend, we were at the Chelsea Market and dropped into the Ronnybrook Farm Dairy store. It was here that I saw little bottles of Eggnog in the fridge!
I was coerced into trying it and it was delicious. The best way I can describe it is a cross between condensed milk and very thin custard that is served cold with some spices thrown in.
Before long, Bill and I were posing for this pic (and I can tell you that Bill was a very willing participant!) 😉
