The Lion King with Whoopi

Posted on January 20, 2010 by Jenelle

Last Thursday night, we went along to the Minskoff Theatre with Camille and Michael to see The Lion King. I had never seen the movie or the play or really knew anything about it. Bill loved the movie, yet had never seen the play. Something special about seeing it last Thursday was that Whoopi Goldberg…

Posted on January 19, 2010 by Jenelle

My jet lag resulted in a few nights of very weird sleep patterns that I am glad have now left my system! I have a bunch of posts in the works about Melbourne – they are really wordy. Ooops. It was Friday night when Georgina posted this blog post and as a result I ended…

Sleeping through the night…

Posted on January 15, 2010 by Jenelle

No – this isn’t a post about a newborn! Last night I slept through the night – from just after midnight until 8.30. I’m back on track – jetlag has disappeared so expect a few blog posts this weekend! 🙂 I cannot believe I am back (getting home at 7.30pm and being back at work…

The Plane…

Posted on January 7, 2010January 7, 2010 by Jenelle

I left for JFK at about 2.30pm on Tuesday the 21st of December. It was a long trip and once I got to Terminal 7 the taxi driver had trouble processing my card. We swiped the thing close to ten times until it authorized I just wanted to start my trip! Within 15 or so…

Another pic from the Benefit Dinner…

Posted on December 20, 2009 by Jenelle

I just love this pic of Camille, Fran and I after the Benefit Dinner. Even though we were all exhausted it was a lovely end to the night. 🙂 Fran has the best get-a-pic-with-someone-famous luck out of any person I know. Her most recent meeting? Hugh Jackman!

Our first snow storm for the season

Posted on December 20, 2009December 20, 2009 by Jenelle

One thing about snow – it is SO peaceful. You can go to sleep with everything ‘normal’ and wake up in a Winter Wonderland without realising. Last night it was lovely – we left our blinds open as the sky in our area turns an eerie orange when it snows. The light this morning reflecting…

2009 Benefit Dinner

Posted on November 12, 2009November 12, 2009 by Jenelle

The 2009 Benefit Dinner is now over! The past few weeks had been a whirlwind in the office and it all culminated on Monday night at Cipriani on 42nd Street. We all had to get there at 9am to start stuffing the goody bags – this cannot be done until on the day and with…

Posted on October 23, 2009 by Jenelle

We are home in the City this weekend but we have a house guest! *bounces* Yes… a guest in a studio… whoa. Bill’s niece Emily is coming down from Albany to stay for two nights. The last time she was in the city was for the Today show Dave Matthew’s concert. She got in at…

Home Economics on 7th Avenue

Posted on October 19, 2009October 20, 2009 by Jenelle

One thing about living in New York that is a constant challenge is the living costs. I have had to adjust to the fact that I am unable to save as I could in Melbourne and while some things are cheaper, life here is undoubtedly more expensive. For one room (not one bedroom, ONE ROOM)…

The crazy two weeks…

Posted on October 18, 2009November 29, 2010 by Jenelle

Not to be confusing but five weeks ago we finished what I think could nearly be the craziest two weeks ever! In a nutshell this is what happened… Friday – Travelled to Washington DC in the morning and I was engaged by the evening. The days in between that Friday and the following Wednesday were…
